Utopia vs Freedom

We have been hearing so much about Global Warming, our role as humans with regard to Mother Earth etc. lately, I feel the need to chime in. So here goes another KJ Rants.

The Secular Progressives, the self proclaimed Enlightened; feel that The Great Society is the answer. If everyone, does what is best for the whole; Utopia will be the end result. We won’t have wars, we won’t have famine, drought the plagues etc.

Utopia seems to be a great concept. Everyone left to their own divulgence, no worries about the basic necessitates of life. All things provided by the Great Society. However mankind is best described by the words of Bruce Springsteen "Poor man want to be rich, rich man want to be King and a King ain't satisfied till he rules everything." When I hear Hillary Clinton speak, I see the manifestation of this.

Now look at Freedom. There is nothing free in Freedom, it comes at a cost. A cost of being involved, of paying attention to the leaders of a Society, Being willing and able to over throw them to the lions from time to time. It seems to me that Western Civilization has at become too comfortable, to close to Utopia to far from the fight for Freedom to realize its cost. American Idol, Dancing with The Stars, reality and fantasy intertwined. Movies and Games that are nothing but simulated VA Tech blood baths; we have become anestisized to the value of life and freedom. I urge you to resist, to take the road less traveled, to value freedom, to create your own Utopia outside The Great Society. Our childrens children future depends upon it.

Sunday Observations

Lets see first it was Hillary seeking the White House, to bring honesty and integrity back to Washington. Wow! My recollection of the Clinton years is well shall I say just a bit different than that.

Then it was Imus, sticking his foot so far down his throat that The Reverends Jackson and Sharpton were able to find moral high ground.

And finally we have the Massacre at VA Tech. Proving once and for all gun control runs a far distant second to deadly force when it comes to dealing with lunatic madmen. How dare I opine that? Well let see other than anti depressants, whats the constant them to all these "shoot em up" mass killings. No guns around except for the bad guys. Wow, go figure.
